Day 110 – All Truth is God’s Truth
Biblical Principle: All Truth Belongs to God
We don't get to define or shape truth according to our desires or preferences. It isn’t up for debate and doesn’t change with the tides of culture or the passing of time. All truth is God’s truth, and anything that claims to be truth outside of Him is not truth at all—it’s deception.
Since the beginning, mankind has tried to bypass God to pursue truth. Whether through philosophy, mysticism, or modern ideologies, man's heart longs for answers—but often looks in all the wrong places. This is nothing new. God warned His people about this very thing long ago in Deuteronomy 18:9-16, where He strongly prohibited practices like divination, witchcraft, and consulting with spirits. Why? Because they represent man’s attempts to access truth and power apart from God.
“Thou shalt be perfect with the LORD thy God.” (Deuteronomy 18:13)
God calls us not to dabble in or tolerate the counterfeit “truths” of the world but to trust fully in Him. There is only one source of absolute truth—the Lord Himself, and He has made that truth known through His Word and ultimately through Jesus Christ, the living Word.
Practical Application: Stay Rooted in the Word
In a world full of noise, opinions, and “new truths,” it’s easy to get swept up in persuasive messages that sound spiritual or even biblical but are ultimately empty. We must be discerning. Paul addressed this in Galatians 1:6-12, warning about false gospels and reminding the church that the true gospel does not come from man—it comes directly from Jesus Christ.
“But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel… let him be accursed.” (Galatians 1:8)
So, how do we apply this?
We must measure every teaching, philosophy, and “truth claim” against God’s Word. It’s not enough for something to sound good—it has to be grounded in Scripture. Be wary of books, speakers, or movements that promote ideas not firmly rooted in the Bible. Seek wisdom through prayer and the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and make the Word your ultimate filter for what’s true and what’s not.
A Daily Commitment
Living by God’s truth takes intentionality. It means rejecting the easy or popular answers in favor of the eternal ones. It means being in the Word daily so we’re not deceived by half-truths or man-made gospels. And it means having the courage to stand for truth, even when it’s not easy.
Let us hold fast to the truth—not just any truth, but God’s truth—and walk in it with boldness, humility, and faith.
“Thou shalt be perfect with the LORD thy God.” (Deuteronomy 18:13)
Reflection Question:
Are there voices in your life—media, friends, influencers, or even your thoughts—promoting truth apart from God? How can you replace those with the unchanging truth of Scripture today?
